The transportation system, which is regarded as an indispensable part of our everyday life; has a structure that constantly affects society with its economic and social influences. The evolution of social life, the industrialization and the development of trade have also created the concept of transportation. Increasing production has increased the need for transportation and has made transporting of goods and goods into a specialized area. With the adoption of the concept of time, the infrastructure requirements and the types of transportation are also diversified. The transportation sector has an important place in the economic structures of the societies in terms of the effects that the important investments in the economy make for the important part of the production process. While the mobility of transportation increases in parallel with the modernization in social life, the economic-social structure, production style and economic interests of the society in the freight and passenger transportation also reveals a unique transportation method. The purpose of transportation is to carry people and people as cheaper and safer as possible. The main task of the state is; is to establish and coordinate transport systems that create transport capacity to meet the needs created by economic and social developments and that are in line with the interests of the country and society. Transportation systems and services are the basic elements of modern economics and social development. Transportation systems and facilities not only affect the general structure of a city or country as a whole, but also affect the economic, social and cultural dynamics that are applied in that city or country. Increasing loads and passenger densities during the day cause transportation alternatives and systems depending on the developing technology. Having the most modern, state-of-the-art transportation vehicles in the field of transportation, as in every area, and keeping up with technological developments is an indication of economic development and prosperity.

Türkiye’de Demiryolu ve Havayolu Taşımacılığına Yönelik Politikaları Ekonomik ve Sosyal Boyutları

Günlük yaşantımızın vazgeçilmez bir parçası olarak görülen ulaştırma sistemi; ekonomik ve sosyal girdileriyle toplumu sürekli etkileyen bir yapıya sahiptir. Toplumsal yaşamın evrimi, sanayileşme ve ticaretin gelişmesiyle taşımacılık kavramı gelişmiş, üretimin artması mal ve eşyanın taşınmasını özel bir ihtisas dalı haline getirmiştir. Bu gelişmelere paralel olarak altyapı gereksinimleri ve taşıma türleri de çeşitlenmiştir. Ulaştırma sektörü, üretim sürecinin önemli bir parçasını oluşturması ve gerektirdiği önemli yatırımların ekonomide yarattığı etkiler açısından toplumların ekonomik yapıları içinde ağırlıklı bir yere sahiptir. Toplumsal yaşamda modernleşmeye paralel olarak ulaşım hareketliliği artarken, yük ve yolcu taşımacılığında toplumun ekonomik-sosyal yapısı, üretim biçimi ve ekonomik çıkarlar kendine özgü bir ulaştırma türünü de ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Ulaşımın amacı, insanlar ve eşyayı en kısa sürede daha ucuz ve emniyetli bir şekilde taşımaktır. Devletin temel görevi ise; ekonomik ve toplumsal gelişmelerin yarattığı ihtiyaçları karşılayabilecek şekilde ulaşım kapasitesini yaratan, ülke ve toplum çıkarlarına uygun ulaşım sistemlerini kurmak ve koordine etmektir. Ulaştırma sistemleri ve hizmetleri modem ekonomilerin ve toplumsal gelişmenin temel öğesidir. Ulaşım sistem ve olanakları bir bütün olarak bir kent veya ülkenin genel yapısını etkilemekle kalmaz, aynı zamanda o kent veya ülkede uygulanan ekonomik, sosyal ve kültürel dinamikleri de etkiler. Günden güne artan yük ve yolcu yoğunlukları, gelişen teknolojiye bağlı olarak ulaşım alternatiflerini ve sistemlerini de devreye sokmaktadır. Her alanda olduğu gibi ulaştırma alanında da en modern, en gelişmiş taşıma araçlarına sahip olmak, teknolojik gelişmelere ayak uydurmak ekonomik kalkınmanın ve refahın göstergesidir.
