Türkiye’de Otomotiv Ana Sanayi - Yan Sanayi İhracatı ve Ekonomik Büyüme İlişkisi: Granger Nedensellik Testi

Otomotiv sanayi, tüm sanayileşmiş ülkelerde ekonominin lokomotif sektörlerinden biridir. Sektörün ekonomideki sürükleyici-lokomotif etkisinin nedeni, ekonominin diğer sektörleri ile olan çok yakın ilişkisidir. Bu nedenle sektördeki değişimler, ekonominin tümünü yakından etkilemektedir Otomotiv sektöründe ana sanayi ve yan sanayi bütün ülkeler açısından olduğu gibi Türkiye için de önemli bir sektör konumundadır. Bu bağlamda otomotiv sektörünün ekonomik büyümeye olan katkısı ve diğer sektörlere öncülük etmesi bu sektörle alakalı daha fazla literatür çalışması yapılması ihtiyacını doğurmuştur. Bu çalışmada otomotiv ihracatının -ekonomik büyümeye olan katkısı Türkiye temelinde Granger nedensellik analizi ile incelenmiştir. Türkiye’de 2008-2021 dönem aralığında otomotiv ana sanayi ve otomotiv yan sanayi ihracatının ekonomik büyümeye etkisi araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda otomotiv yan sanayi ve ana sanayi ihracatının ekonomik büyümenin nedeni olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca otomotiv ana sanayi ve yan sanayi ihracatı arasında çift yönlü ve güçlü nedensellik ilişkisi bulunmuştur.

The Relationship Between Automotive Main Industry-Sub-Industry Exports and Economic Growth in Turkey: Granger Causality Test

The automotive industry is one of the locomotive sectors of the economy in all industrialized countries. The reason for the drag-locomotive effect of the sector in the economy is its very close relationship with other sectors of the economy. For this reason, the changes in the sector affect the whole economy closely. In the automotive sector, the main industry and sub-industry is an important sector for Turkey, as it is for all countries. In this context, the contribution of the automotive sector to economic growth and its pioneering in other sectors necessitated more literature studies related to this sector. In this study, the contribution of automotive exports to economic growth was examined on the basis of Turkey with Granger causality analysis. The effect of automotive main industry and automotive sub-industry exports on economic growth in Turkey in the period 2008-2021 was investigated. As a result of the findings, it has been determined that the exports of the automotive supply industry and main industry are the cause of economic growth. In addition, a strong bidirectional causality relationship was found between the automotive main industry and sub-industry exports.
