The share of the Central Asian countries in Turkey’s foreign trade is quite low. Turkey gives foreign trade surplus with Turkmenistan, but gives trade deficits against for Uzbekistan. Foreign trade volume between Turkmenistan and Turkey decreased from 2.8 million dollars to 1.5 million dollars in 2017. Turkey’s foreign trade with Uzbekistan increased from around 1.2 million dollars to about 1.5 million dollars. Similarly the TRA2 region gives foreign trade surplus with Turkmenistan while giving a significant amount foreign trade deficit against for Uzbekistan in foreign trade. For example, the TRA2 region gave 45 million dollars foreign trade deficit against for Uzbekistan despite 8.5 million dollars trade surplus against Turkmenistan in 2017. While Turkey and the TRA2 region’s exports to these two countries formed more industrial products, agricultural products and raw materials is imported. In this context, this study aims to show development and features of foreign trade between the two countries and Turkey and TRA2 region in the period of 2010-2017.Therefore, within this study, the development of Turkey and TRA2 region’s foreign trade in is primarily discussed in this period. And then sectoral distribution of foreign trade in Turkey and TRA2 region’s and its important chapters in foreign trade and imported countries are emphasized. In addition, the development of foreign trade and foreign trade properties with these two countries of Turkey and TRA2 region’s are also analyzed.
