Increasing interest in the logistics sector is not an option, but an imperative necessity to contribute to the development and support of the national economy. The concept of logistics is designed to analyze, plan and manage physical and integrated flows and integrated decisionmaking measures, Coordinated within a potentially valuable multi-partner network, In this sense, the logistics city shows a systematic view of the issues related to the traffic within urban areas The aim of this paper is to study the most important challenges and methodologies for the establishment of a logistic city within the borders of the Libyan city of Misurata. The city of Misurata occupies a unique geographic location in which it can play an important and leading role in logistics services in North Africa, Mediterranean and North African countries, Where the location of the city of Misurata geographically and the completion of some infrastructure projects of the competitive advantages that contribute to the growth of the logistics industry, As well as the existence of a free zone in addition to the large commercial and airport airport is considered the first in the field of air cargo in Libya and the presence of several transport companies with a large fleet of trucks and also a network of roads linking the entire city of Libya This paper deals with the review of the city's logistics concepts, issues and trends to explore the models and methods required to evaluate the city's logistics systems, plan their activities and their suitability with the geographical location of Misurata , As well as review the elements of the city of Misurata and its suitability to establish a logistics city and review the obstacles and challenges that stand in front of it,The paper was organized as follows: 1- The main logistics concepts and experiences of the city. 2- Planning issues, major trends and challenges. 3- The city of Misurata to establish a logistic city 4. Conclusion
